Preparing to the Himalayan Adventure

Having the right equipment can make your journey more comfortable and enjoyable. Although you are going on a trek in Nepal, a cultural tour in Bhutan or overland adventure in Tibet, it is good to pack accordingly to the season and destination.

Most trips are usually suggested to include the following, although our team offers a comprehensive list of what to pack prior to departure.

Clothing

The Himalayas are best suited to layered clothing as temperatures may fluctuate during the day. They are encouraged to wear comfortable trekking clothes, thermal wear, a warm jacket, and waterproof outer garments, particularly when trekking in the mountains.

Footwear

A pair of comfortable, well-fitted trekking boots is essential for trekking trips. Comfortable walking shoes are typically adequate in case of tours and sightseeing. Lightweight sandals are also carried by many travelers who want to use them in the evenings.

Trekking Gear

Trekking poles, sleeping bag, reusable water bottle, trekking poles, and a daypack are some of the useful equipment that one may need depending on the itinerary. These products will help make your trip comfortable and convenient.

Personal Essentials

Carry your own medications, toiletries, sunscreen, lip balm, hand sanitizer and anything you frequently use. A compact first-aid pack and headlamp might be handy as well, especially on trekking trails.

Seasonal Considerations

The requirements of packing are seasonal. During winter, warmer clothes are needed whereas waterproof clothes are essential in the summers and monsoons. Depending on your itinerary, particular recommendations will be given by our team.
