Nagi Gompa Day Hike Overview

Why search Nagi Gompa Day Hike? Have you refrained from exploring the beauty of nature due to the limited vacation? If yes then, keeping away all the worries and agony, opt for the Nagi Gompa Day Hike and get lost amidst the enticing nature.

A day hike to Nagi Gumba is all about secluded Nagi Gumba, idyllic Shivapuri National Park’s Woodlands, and the entrancing Kathmandu Valley views. To add the religious shade to your day’s hike a visit to Budhanilkantha is a lot.

Nagi Gompa Day Hike Start From Budhanilkantha?

With the inclusion of Nagi Gumba and Budhanilkantha in the list, this Budhanilkantha to Nagi Gumba Hike offers you the perfect images of dominantly followed Hindu and Buddhist religions.

Home to the Buddhist nuns, Nagi Gompa Day Hike not only showcases the Kathmandu Valley views but is also the perfect meditation spot. Moreover, the colorful prayer flags, hospitable nuns, hymns, and the cool breeze fill up your heart with abundant happiness. The zen vibe that you experience in the vicinity of the Nagi Gumba is something that you will love to reminisce about all your life.

To reach the Gumba Location, we first take a drive of around 40 minutes from the main city of Kathmandu. This drive takes us to the Budhanilkantha temple location. Popular for the biggest sleeping statue of Lord Bishnu, only Hindus can enter the temple located there.

Non-Hindus have no permission to enter the temple. But, what they can do is they can freely savor the beauty of the temple’s surrounding area.

From Budhanilkanthna, we walk up to the entrance gate of the National Park area and continue our hiking trip. The dense woods of the Shivapuri National Park provide us with ample chance to witness various wildlife and floral species. Housing diverse bird species, the jungle of Shivapuri also holds the title of the best place for birdwatching in Nepal.

After hiking for around 2 hours through the verdant trails, we reach an altitude of 1650m where Nagi Gumba resides. Here we will have a pleasing time. Further taking full advantage of being in the heavenly paradise, we will capture ample photographs. Thereafter we will retrace the same route back to the Budhanilkantha. A short drive from Budhanilkantha drops us at our hotel location.

Compared to the uphill Nagi Gumba Hike, you may find the return hike relatively easy and convenient.

If you desire then instead of retracing the same hiking route, you can ask for the extended Kopan Nagi Gumba Day Hike. Furthermore, to make your day vacation memorable we have various Kathmandu Day Hiking packages. Some of our popular day hiking around Kathmandu are Champadevi Day Hiking, Phulchowki Hill Hiking, and so on.
