Best time for short Annapurna Base Camp trekking
The best time to travel to the mountains of Nepal is April-May and October-November. Why? The explanation is very simple, The trick is that Nepal is located very close to the tropics, and in the tropics, the seasons are determined not by the air temperature, but by precipitation (monsoons) - the dry season and the rainy season.
And if you go to the mountains, then you understand that prolonged rains in the mountains are a problem. So, in Nepal, the main monsoon takes place in the summer, from June to August. Therefore, you can potentially go trekking to the Annapurna base camp from September to May.
But in winter, in the middle of this "dry" period, it is quite cold, and therefore the "warm edges" of the dry season - spring and autumn - remain the most comfortable for travel.
According to our past experiences of trekkers realized for sure that you had to go in the fall. Yes, someone in pursuit of flowering plants travels in the spring, but still, judging by the photographs, nature is a little gray in spring, withered after winter. In autumn, there is solid greenery, albeit without flowers.
Now, after passing the trekking to Annapurna, we can be sure that you do not regret that you choose exactly in the fall. It was dry, with a lot of sun and greenery. The only thing was that we were at the very peak of the season (late October - early November), and there were a lot of people.
From conversations, realized that you can go in the second half of November and even in the first half of December -especially on treks that do not rise above 5000 meters. There will be half the number of people on the trail, and the air is slightly colder.

But in lodges, it is much warmer, and a sleeping bag for -10 comfort should be enough.

In the capital, we will live in a hotel categorized as 3 stars in Nepal, which is located in the tourist area of ?? Thamel. It is equipped with good rooms that are clean and comfortable, there is the internet and inside toilet with a hot shower.
During trekking, we will spend the night in lodges. This is a cross between a hotel and a mountain shelter. The lodges have shared toilets and dining rooms. We will be accommodated in 2-3-bed rooms. The shower needs to pay the extra charge. Accommodation in lodges is included in the price of the program.

During the trekking, We will have breakfast and dinner in the lodges. It offers a wide variety of varied dishes, often adapted to the tastes of tourists. In Nepal, For locals can drink water because they have used to but it is strictly forbidden to drink water from the tap or from the springs for tourists. This can cause serious health problems. So get ready to buy bottled (Drink Save Water). You need a lot at altitude, so you will need to drink and fluid on your own.
