Thereafter head to the Ta Dzong for the exploration of the National Museum of Bhutan. Full of ancient Buddhist paintings, religious relics, metal statues, and many other imposing asserts of ancient Bhutan, just a visit to the Museum will let you know many secrets of this beautiful country.
Another site that you will visit in Paro after Ta Dzong is Paro Dzong. Renowned as Rinpung Dzong, Paro Dzong, is an impressive landmark in Bhutan. Built, in the year 1644, the literal meaning of Rinpung Dzong is “fortress of the heap of jewels.”

As your today’s stopping destination is Thimphu, without spending much time after this short sightseeing tour you will take a drive to Thimphu. On the way, you will be visiting the Tachong Lakhang. Upon reaching Thimphu, if the time permits, you can visit the Weekend Farmer’s market. From fresh vegetables and traditional Bhutanese dishes to antique brass and handicraft products, you will find everything else in this lively market.

Sited on the western bank of Wang Chu River, the market somehow gives you insight into the day-to-day lifestyle of the people living in Thimphu. Stay overnight in Thimphu.

After taking the luscious breakfast, you will be heading for the sightseeing tour in Thimphu. On this day you will get to visit, National Memorial Chorten first. The Chorten was built in memory of the late King Jigme Dorji Wangchuk.

Grabbing some wonderful memories from chorten, you will next take a drive to the Kuenselphodrang Nature Park of Thimphu. Frequented by a huge traveller group the park houses an eye-pleasing statue of Buddha Dordenma. Admiring the 169foot bronze statue of Buddha Dordenma, you will leave the parking area for the visit to Tashichho Dzong. Located on the Wang Chu Riverbank, Tashichho Dzong is a fascinating Buddhist monastery and fortress which was built a century ago. However, visiting this place you will notice that the site is still in use for various religious and political purposes.

Afterwards, you will take a drive to your next destination Punakha. En route to Punakha at Dochula La Pass, you will get to admire the views of stunning mountains. Further, the presence of the 108chortens and the nearby Druk Wannyal Lhakhang temple adds some kind of astonishment to your travel journey.

Overnight at Punakha.

It is the third day of your Bhutan Tour. Similar to the other days, this day also starts with a refreshing morning breakfast. After breakfast, be ready for the sightseeing tour at Punakha.
Located at the junction of Mo Chhu and Pho Chhu river, Punakha Dzong will be your first exploration destination at Punakha.

The historical artifacts and religious relics present here, lure you with all of their wonders and charm. With its traditional Bhutanese architecture, the Dzong is attracting lots of travelers from around the globe. After spending some great time at Punakha Dzong, you will traverse a way through the paddy field to reach Chimmi Lhakhang. Known as the fertility shrine, most people visit this holy destination to get the fertility blessing.

For the overnight stay, you will be taking a drive back to the Paro.

It is your excursion day at Paro. The day lets you soak in the beauty of Taktsang Monastery. Renowned as Tiger’s Nest, the location of Taktsang Monastery is fascinating in itself. To relish the mind-boggling view of this monastery, make a visit to the nearby cafeteria.

To reach the monastery location you have to first take a drive from your hotel to the foot of the Tiger’s nest. From there you just enjoy the hike up to the monastery location. Embracing the enchanting beauty of the monastery and its location, make your return from there and head to Kyichu Lakhang. Eminent as one of the most important Buddhist pilgrimage destinations in Bhutan, Khichu Lakhnag holds back the history from the 17th century.

Completing all the document formalities, today you will transfer to Kathmandu from Paro.
